Who We Are

Established in 1989 by Tom Yearwood, LLB, The Denning Health Group endeavors to assist employers in creating and maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety: both for the health of their employees and their business.

Working with companies big and small, including some of the country’s most recognizable employers, the expertise of Denning Health Group goes beyond writing great policies. Educating managers and supervisors with regard to potential legal culpability, introducing accurate testing standards, ensuring that supervisors are given the knowledge and training to properly and consistently enforce the policy are all components of a successful program.

In order to adequately enforce and maintain workplace safety, there are many issues that must be considered. Not only must drug and alcohol testing in Canada be carried out within strict parameters that adhere to the country’s human rights, labour and employment laws, implementing policy includes looking at safety processes (SOP/JSA/SWP) in a different way, resulting in greater awareness and compliance with procedures.
